Culture & Sports Activities of Village
We have various types of sport games but we are famous for Football (Soccer) ⚽ .We have two Football grounds in Govt. Sec. School. Every year 3 types of Football teams play. These teams are built according to age like 14, 17 & 19. These all teams are from Govt. Sec. School. All teams play very well. First they play Zone, then District & then State level.
We also have Kabbadi(Punjabi Wrestling) teams. Some Kabbadi players choose other randomly. They don’t play from any school. They play for our village. They only play on tournaments.
Some people also play Cricket. But Cricket is not very famous in our village. Basketball is also played in our village. There is a Basketball ground in Govt. Sec. School. We have also athletics players. Girls also play athletics. Vusho is also played from Dashmesh Public school. Dashmesh Public school also have Bhangra(Boys dance) & Gidha(Girls dance) teams.
We have 2 clubs, Baba Deep Singh Sports Club and Shri Guru Gobind Singh Sports and Welfare Club . This Club organizes tournaments every year mainly Football & Kabbadi. It also has a Football team which plays from our village. Players of this team also play on other village’s tournaments. They are the winners of several tournaments. They are well-known in other neighbor villages. This poster is of 2012 tournament.
